New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday listed 10 key points the state must meet in order to reopen safely amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The criteria includes meeting the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines to have a 14-day decrease in COVID-19 cases, having a testing regimen, and ensuring the region has the health-care capacity to deal with hospitalizations if there’s an increase. Cuomo’s stay-at-home order will likely be extended beyond May 15 in many parts of the state, but restrictions could be relaxed in some regions if they have sufficient hospital capacity and meet criteria.
