Former FDA commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb appeared on television show Face The Nation on Sunday, where he said that there are two predominant strains of the novel coronavirus in the U.S. One strain is present in the West Coast, while the other strain is dominant in the East Coast. But, the doctor added that there’s “no reason at this time to believe” that one strain is more dangerous than the other.
