Public Services and Procurement Minister Anita Anand said on Friday that in the past week six plane loads of medical supplies have arrived in Canada and 10 carriers overall have brought supplies to Canada. She said this has meant the Public Health Agency now has “millions more” N95 masks for testing. Anand said they also received a chemical last weekend for reducing reagent, allowing for more COVID-19 testing and LuminUltra in New Brunswick, which received the chemical, is “gearing up” to deliver reagent for up to 500,000 tests on a weekly basis.
