Supt. Darren Campbell, officer in charge of support services for Nova Scotia RCMP, outlined on Friday the timeline of the force’s response to the deadly shootings in rural Nova Scotia, specifically the series of violent events which took place Sunday morning. Campbell said an interview with a “key witness,” later revealed to be the girlfriend of the shooting suspect, alerted police to the fact that he was driving a mock-police car and wearing an RCMP uniform.
