Cat chases deer away from yard in Havelock, Ont.

There has been increased sightings in wildlife since the coronavirus pandemic but not one cat in Havelock, Ont., isn’t happy about that.

Crystle ​Brown sent us this video of her cat Ruby guarding their property from a family of roaming deer. The two-year-old-feline has no fear of the herd – or as Brown says “thinking she’s a mountain lion.”

The deer quickly scattered, wanting nothing to do with Ruby. Brown notes the deer frequent her property. Havelock is about 40 kilometres east of Peterborough.
