Canada’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Theresa Tam said they will need to get the epidemic “wave” under control and get to the “bottom of that wave” before they can relax social measures. She said, however, they recognize the importance of addressing psychosocial and mental health in terms of being able to reconnect with family. Tam said they must continue to work to reduce the spread while working to cautiously resume some social aspects.
