Canada’s Innovation, Science and Industry Minister Navdeep Bains announced on Thursday the Government of Canada was investing $40 million into genome sequencing of the COVID-19 virus. It was also committing $29 million to the National Research Council for the preparation of the human health therapeutics research facility for clinical trials of a COVID-19 vaccine.
