New York governor Andrew Cuomo said on Wednesday that he spoke to President Trump about states’ funding amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as the states are providing financial support to people the federal government isn’t funding such as schools, teachers, police and fire operations. Cuomo said that President Trump “gets it and he will work hard in the next piece of legislation to pass states’ funding.”
