Speaking outside Rideau Cottage in Ottawa on Monday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said his government has “every intention” of pursuing greater gun control legislation in the wake of this weekend’s deadly shooting in Nova Scotia, but said that any movement would have to wait until Parliament can resume regular sitting in a post-COVID-19 lockdown environment.
