On Monday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo reported 478 new COVID-19 related deaths in his state, which he said was still “horrifically high” despite the slight drop in numbers from previous days. New York has been among the worst-hit states in the U.S. by the novel coronavirus pandemic, with over 240,000 cases and more than 10,000 deaths as of Monday.
