U.K. education secretary Gavin Williamson announced on Sunday that the government is providing the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) with an extra £1.6 million in funding to promote and expand their services including Childline helpline. The helpline is aimed at giving children the ability to talk with adults about their concerns and also gives adults the ability to seek advice and raise concerns about the safety and wellbeing of any child they may be worried about.
