When asked about the Conservative Party’s argument that Canada’s daily COVID-19 update could occur in the House of Commons, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said although “the rule is parliament needs to reopen fully on Monday,” it is “obviously not a good idea” and that flying MPs to Ottawa is “not something that we should want to see happening” during the pandemic. He added that they have proposed new measures, and hope to come to an agreement with other parties.
