The first shipment carrying ten VOCSN V+Pro critical care ventilators that are being produced by General Motors (GM) and Ventec Life Systems arrived on Friday at Chicago’s Weiss Memorial Hospital.
The hospital staff broke out in cheers and applause as a UPS truck carrying the ventilators pulled up in front of the hospital.
The deliveries are part of a contract awarded to GM by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for 30,000 ventilators by the end of August. The contract is worth $489.4 million.
