Nova Scotia chief medical officer of health Dr. Robert Strang said on Friday that it would be premature to make changes to the number of intensive care units. He said based on modelling, they are still a few more weeks until the province is expected to hit its peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. He said they need to ensure they can manage a surge before opening up units to handle other types of cases.
