During a briefing on Friday, Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Minister of Education Stephen Lecce took questions on when students could expect to return to school. While this currently remains unknown, the premier said safety remains the priority and in-person classes will not return until health authorities state it’s safe to do so. Lecce added that the province is prepared for worst-case scenarios, including the possibility schools might not reopen in September.
