New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said on Thursday that 2,000 people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and 606 new deaths were reported in the state. Cuomo said despite the high numbers of deaths and new cases, the state reported decreased number of hospitalizations, decreased number of net change in hospitalizations, ICU admissions and decreased intubation rate, “which is good news.”
