Coronavirus outbreak: Trump says some states could open before May 1 deadline

U.S. President Donald Trump suggested Wednesday that some states would be able to end lockdowns ahead of a May 1 deadline that he had previously set to revive the U.S. economy. The president said he would speak to governors of several states on Thursday and would have an announcement on the topic following the meeting.
