Ontario’s chief medical officer of health Dr. David Williams said on Wednesday that when looking at COVID-19 statistics compared to the projections, it appeared that social distancing measures “have been effective” since many of the numbers remain “well below” projections. He said if these distancing measures are implemented “more vigorously” the province will see an even greater bending of the virus curve.
