The Ontario government unveiled the province’s “COVID-19 action plan for long-term care homes” on Wednesday. Minister of long term care Merrilee Fullerton said that “over the next 48 hours” Ontario will be launching more “aggressive testing, screening and surveillance” by screening all symptomatic staff and residents of long-term care homes in order to protect that vulnerable population, as well as asymptomatic contacts of confirmed cases.
