During Meet the Press on Sunday, U.S. Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Stephen Hahn said the Trump administration views May 1 as a target date for reducing self-isolation restrictions across the country amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but cautioned it was still too early to know if that date would be met, saying “the primary issue here is the safety and the welfare of the American people.”
