During a United States coronavirus task force update on Friday, President Donald Trump said that “tremendous progress is being made” and that there are signs the COVID-19 curve in the country is beginning to level due to “aggressive” strategies including physical distancing. Trump added that he thinks the death toll will be “substantially” less than 100,000, which was initially predicted as a potential outcome of the pandemic in the U.S.
