Coronavirus outbreak: Trudeau says they may look at loosening virus-control measures in summer

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Friday that based on projections released Thursday that the “first wave” of the virus may have subsided in summer, they may be able to loosen certain measures put in place in response, but do so carefully to prevent potential resurgence. He again stressed the country would not be able to get back to the normal “we had before” until a vaccine for the virus is developed. He added the only way to start getting back to normal, however, is if Canadians continue to stick to the ongoing measures.
