Coronavirus outbreak: Toronto announces total of 1,769 COVID-19 cases

Toronto’s medical officer of health Dr. Eileen de Villa said that as of 12:30 p.m. ET on April 9, the city had 1,769 cases of COVID-19 in total. This number includes 1,519 confirmed cases and 250 probable cases of the illness.
