New York Mayor Bill de Blasio held a COVID-19 briefing on Sunday, where he said that it was originally feared the city would run out of ventilators by Monday morning, but now there seem to be enough to last through Tuesday or Wednesday. The mayor also said the number of new people being intubated each day, which is about 200 to 300, is lower than previously predicted for this point in the curve.
