At a daily briefing with the COVID-19 task force Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump says the U.S. has leveraged the Defense Production Act in an effort to stop the hoarding and price gouging of crucial medical supplies, taking custody of nearly 200,000 N95 respirators, 130,000 surgical masks, 600,000 gloves as well as bottles of disinfectant sprays.
