World Health Organization (WHO) COVID-19 technical lead Dr. Maria Van Kherkhove said on Friday that data from countries around the world indicates that more people under the age of 50 are becoming seriously ill and in some cases dying from COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, including those who do not have underlying health conditions.
