Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed on Friday that “help is coming sooner” than expected for low-income Canadians during the COVID-19 outbreak, saying that the GST credit for qualifying adults and families would be available in April, as opposed to May. Trudeau also stated that direct deposit enrolment for benefits at Canadian banks would be available beginning April 3.
