Homeless people on transit because there’s nowhere else to go: City of Edmonton

City of Edmonton Social Development branch manager Jackie Foord explains how mass closures of public spaces like libraries and rec centres, combined with cold weather, has led to homeless people hunkering down on transit, and how the city is working to move those people to more appropriate temporary spaces while also pushing for a better long term housing plan.
