New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said on Thursday that they are working to increase the number of ventilators available for COVID-19 patients in the state, saying that they are “doing more than any other state or country” in terms of contingency plans and methods to acquire ventilators. New York currently has 2,200 ventilators and approximately 350 COVID-19 patients who require them each night.
