Montreal’s regional director of health Dr. Mylène Drouin announced the new number of COVID-19 cases in the city on Wednesday: 2,090 confirmed cases in Montreal, with 132 in hospitals, 26 requiring intensive care and 14 deaths.
She also said that public health professionals expect more cases to be announced in the coming days as the labs were dealing with a testing backlog in the past few days.
Drouin added that it’s encouraging to see the number of new cases in the last days stabilizing.
