British business secretary Alok Sharma said on Wednesday that as of April 1, 29,474 people in total have tested positive for COVID-19 in the United Kingdom, with a total of 152,979 people having been tested. Of those hospitalized in the U.K., Sharma said 2,352 people have died of the illness in total.
