British cabinet office minister Michael Gove said on Tuesday that although there are just over 8,000 ventilators deployed in National Health Service (NHS) hospitals in the United Kingdom currently, a number that has increased since the COVID-19 pandemic, however the government says more are required. Gove said the government will be buying more ventilators from abroad, including from EU nations.
