Following a conference call between Tokyo 2020 organizers and the International Olympic Committee, the 2020 Summer Olympics have a new date with the Games being scheduled to begin July 23, 2021 and will run until Aug. 8. The new dates come about a week after the IOC and Japan agreed to delay the global event due to ongoing concerns about the novel coronavirus.
