Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Toronto Mayor John Tory said while the city gave a 60-day grace period for tax, water and waste utility payments, he encourages residents and businesses who have been fortunate to make their payments on time. He added that the city took the decision to ensure Torontonians, who are unable to pay due to a change in their financial circumstances, have some time to get their finances in order.
