Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has named Kirsten Hillman as Canada’s new ambassador to Washington. She’s the first woman who hold the post on a full-time basis. Hillman played a central role in the 13-month negotiations on a new North American Free Trade Agreement and was involved in talks to keep the U-S border open to trade and commerce.
