Coronavirus outbreak: Trudeau says EI system will be ‘scaled up’ to meet new demand by April 6

Speaking to reporters in Ottawa on Wednesday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the Employment Insurance (EI) program is being “scaled up” to meet massively increased demand due to the COVID-19 outbreak, saying April 6 was their target for having the system improved to meet said new demand.
