Leader of the official opposition Andrew Scheer held a media availability on Tuesday morning as the House of Commons returns to vote on emergency measures to assist Canadians impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
He said the Conservative Party agreed to reconvene the House with only a small number of members present to pass necessary measures to support families and healthcare workers and that any conversation about new government powers should not get in the way of passing these measures.
