A new document from the European Union (EU) showed Russian media has deployed a “significant disinformation campaign” against Western nations in an effort to worsen the impact of COVID-19. The European External Action Service said an EU database found almost 80 cases of disinformation about the virus since Jan. 22 as part of a concerted effort to generate panic, sow distrust and worsen the impact for the West.
