Executive director of the World Health Organization’s Health Emergencies Programme Dr. Michael Ryan said on Wednesday that the reason other European nations have had fewer positive cases of COVID-19 compared to Italy, the new epicentre of the outbreak, is possibly because of an aggressive testing process, populations that have fewer elderly people and ongoing standards of care.
