The World Health Organization’s (WHO) emergencies programme executive director Michael Ryan spoke about response to the COVID-19 outbreak on Friday, saying that countries must rely on speed for responding to the virus instead of trying to not make errors. He stressed that “perfection is the enemy of the good,” and if people worry about being “right” over responding quickly, the virus will be more difficult to contain and combat.
