On Thursday, Matthew Pegg, Toronto fire chief and general manager of the Office of Emergency Management, announced that the COVID-19 Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) is transitioning to level two, which would provide coordination and support to city divisions on a 24/7 basis. Pegg stated that the centre would also be “fully engaged” in supporting Toronto Public Health and the city-wide COVID-19 task force.
