Speaking about the COVID-19 outbreak in Washington state with reporters on Wednesday, Gov. Jay Inslee called the infection “extremely dangerous,” but said that the community is “not helpless” and that they can do what is necessary and effective to reduce the spread of the virus. As of Wednesday, Washington has 268 presumptive cases and 24 deaths as a result of COVID-19.
