Coronavirus outbreak: Trudeau outlines response funding, includes support for workers affected by virus

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau outlined the priorities for the federal government’s $1 billion COVID-19 response fund, stating that $200 million would support the ongoing federal response, and that special measures would be put in place for workers affected by the virus, including waving the one-week waiting period for employment insurance to take effect.
