Coronavirus outbreak: Canadian Health minister says risk is still low due to no ‘credible community transmission’

Speaking to reporters in Ottawa after Tuesday’s Question Period, Health Minister Patty Hadju said she wants to reassure Canadians that the wider risk from COVID-19 is still low “because we don’t have a credible community transmission.”
She added that the government will know when community transmission begins to happen, “and will let Canadians know” and will continue to give them daily updates.
