The U.S. House Appropriations subcommittee held a hearing on Tuesday on the CDC’s 2021 budget and the measures being taken to combat COVID-19. CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield warned of the dangers to vulnerable seniors in care homes and how the epicentre of the outbreak has shifted from China to Europe, specifically Italy. Redfield added that the spread of COVID-19 to the U.S. has been slowed.
