After a surprise funding cut to sexual assault centres was announced by the provincial government on Wednesday, rape crisis centres across Ontario were left scrambling for other avenues of cash.
But less than a day later, the government instead announced it will be investing twice the amount.
While this may seem like a victory to rape crisis centres…they later found out the money wasn’t going to them directly.
