A Canadian man who has been imprisoned over espionage accusations in Egypt since 2007 is pleading for Ottawa’s help. In a series of letters, Joseph El Attar alleges Egyptian authorities have been torturing him. As Mercedes Stephenson reports, El Attar is not the only Canadian inmate in a foreign prison reporting abuse.
