China’s National Health Commission reported on Monday that the number of new cases, with 202 confirmed that day, has been showing a downward trend recently and that outside of Hubei province, the epicentre of the outbreak, the situation has been “positive.” A total of 42 new deaths were also reported on Monday, but officials say the deaths and new confirmed cases were all confined to the city of Wuhan and wider Hubei province.
