Astronomers at the Chandra X-Ray Observatory, which is run by NASA and the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, discovered the “biggest explosion seen in the universe” on Thursday, saying that a “giant black hole” in the Ophiuchus galaxy cluster caused the blast. Images of the cavity created by the explosion measured approximately 2.8 million light years across.
