Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Hamilton Police media relations officer Jerome Stewart said they responded Monday night to reports of protesters blocking rail lines and served them with an injunction. He added the demonstrators are being encouraged to leave the area peacefully. Protesters have been blocking rail lines in different parts of the country of weeks in solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs.
